The existing access doorway from the north vestry into the north transept was widened. Structural steel lintels were installed to allow the opening to be made wider. The existing masonry around the opening was reused with new voussiors installed where required. The whole church was redecorated including the timber beams, plaster ceiling panels, walls and the existing panelling was painted rather than stained as was the original finish. New floor build up allowed for level access through the church, which was finished with new engineered oak boarding.
The existing servery area was reordered with new bespoke oak joinery. Movable oak units were created, an oak screen installed in the South Transept to create a storage area.
Complete electrical re-wiring and installation of audio/visual equipment were fitted. All cabling has been installed within steel trunking which can be accessed via floor boxes. Spot lighting and scene settings along with a projector and high definition sound system were installed.
A new warm air blower unit was installed in the Crypt which provides back ground and instant heating when required.
The original screen to the Remembrance Chapel was cleaned & the dias extended and carpeted.
Audio & visual systems were installed with high definition projector and screens. Flush fitting floor boxes fitted around the Church allow for access to the AV system in all areas.
The external door in to the North Vestry was enlarged to allow for disabled access. New stone jamb stones were installed along with a new stone head to form the doorway. The rainwater downpipe was repositioned to allow for the new opening.
All pews and platforms were removed to allow for a new floor built up for level access. A new raised dias was formed and carpeted around the east end of the Nave, with new oak engineered flooring fitted throughout the Nave and Transepts.
