Current Vacancies
We employ around 60 staff members in trades including roofing, masonry, leadwork, lime plastering and decorating. We are always interested in hearing from skilled tradesmen and women who would be keen to develop their skills in the heritage building sector with us.
Apprenticeships
We aim to appoint one or two apprentices annually in September. Apprentices join us for a trial period over the summer to experience a range of trades. Those who enjoy their placement, show potential and are successful will be considered for an apprenticeship.
Apprentices work for Ellis and Co. full-time, spending part- of the week on-site or in our workshops with Ellis and Co. and part-time in college (typically Bath for Stonemasons and Bridgwater & Taunton for Carpentry & Joinery) training in their chosen trade to NVQ II level. After completing the apprenticeship, our apprentices are likely to be offered full-time employment as regular trade staff members.
